Ronelle Bester

I became an entrepreneur by sheer chance – call me an accidental entrepreneur, and it fits me like a glove. I find the responsibility of running the business, managing people and risk very interesting and highly rewarding. The success has taken me by surprise, but has definitely come with long and late hours.

I have the best of both worlds: running a professional business from the countryside and the lifestyle advantage of living on a farm.

Ronelle has a B Tech degree in Public Relations Management and completed a certificate in Strategic Marketing Management from Henley Management College in the UK. She has lectured in PR at both Technikon South Africa and Varsity College.

As a little girl, I was always organising everything and everyone around me which means that I’ve been training for my job in Public Relations since I was about 5. I was fortunate enough to know exactly what I wanted to study and already started working at the end of my second year.

We all have different motivations for doing what we do – call me crazy, but the rush of deadlines, keeping clients in the news and learning about new PR methods available are still what motivates me daily.

I’ve learned to love the vibrant Jozi-rush and I’m privileged to enjoy a balanced job in being a career girl by day and wife and mommy at night.

Deirdré has a National Diploma in Public Relations.
