The joy of giving

There is a saying that says: “You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you”.

True words.

The Red Ribbon team experienced this special feeling when we participated in the Santa Shoebox project again. It is a national initiative where you donate essentials and toys packed in a shoebox as a Christmas gift for less privileged children in orphanages, crèches and care centres.

The whole team got involved in the shopping, packing and decorating of the boxes and the fact that we know the names, ages and genders of the children made it a very personal and enjoyable experience.

It is a truly heart-warming project and a nice way to get into the spirit of the Festive Season.

Table Mountain shows its full beauty for Elekta’s first African user meeting

Nothing better than spending three days out of the office and having Table Mountain as the first sight when you wake up in the mornings!

After enjoying the best view in the world and starting my day with a Truth coffee from their mobile station we organised for the Elekta user meeting, it was easy to face the challenges that come with organising an event with more than 60 attendees flying in from all over Africa.

We organised all the boring stuff such as name tags, agendas and sound, but we also had lots of fun dreaming up fun entertainment for the evening dinners.
